Documentation

Installation and setup.

Everything needed to get the plugin running, and then, optionally, to link it to the panel. The economy works after step two; the rest is choice.

Written ahead of the plugin. The install and linking steps below are settled design. The command and permission reference is not written, and is marked as such rather than guessed at.

Requirements

A Paper server on one of three supported lines, and the Java version that line needs. The Java column is where installs usually go wrong.

MinecraftRequiresBuild
1.16.5Java 8 to 16The 1.16 jar
1.20 – 1.21.11Java 21The 1.21 jar
26.1 and laterJava 25The 26 jar

On 1.16.5, Paper refuses to start under Java 17 or newer and reports a class-file version rather than naming a plugin. If your server will not boot after adding anything at all, check Java before you check the plugin.

Installing

  1. Put the jar in /plugins

The same folder as everything else on your server.

  2. Restart, do not reload

The plugin builds its storage on first start and wants a clean boot.

  3. Check it started

The console reports the version on load. The format is 16-1.2.4a: the Minecraft line, the plugin version, and a trailing letter for the data generation. That last letter is what tells you whether an upgrade needs to migrate your files.

Where your data lives

In files, in the plugin's own folder, on your machine. Balances, ledgers, banks, nations and transaction history never leave the server. There is no database to run and no database to pay for.

Back it up the same way you back up your world. If you move the server, the economy moves with the folder.

Optional. The plugin is complete without it.

  1. Run /setup on your server

It prints a 42-character instance ID, grouped for reading aloud.

  2. Paste it into the panel

On the setup page, which walks through the rest.

  3. Link your Minecraft account

Everyone does this, including owners who never play, so the panel knows whose data it is showing. You enter your username, a request appears in game visible only to you, and /ne showcode shows a code that expires in five minutes.

Linking grants permission to ask your server questions. It copies nothing to us, and revoking it leaves every file on your machine untouched.

Command and permission reference

Not written yet. It will be generated from the plugin's own command registry once that exists, so it cannot drift from what the software actually accepts. A handwritten list would be out of date the week after it was published.
